Fee Information:

Ohio Senior Olympics Special Note: If you are shooting both the Ohio Senior Olympics (OSO) and the OAA 900 Round, you must register for both events. However, you only pay for one event. One event you can use PayPal to pay for the registration and the other event just select mail in payment but don't mail in your payment. Then you will only owe $15.00 at the time of the event for the OSO t-shirt. If you accidentally pay for both events we will credit you back your money on one of the registrations.

Ohio Senior OlympicsTournament Details

  • The archery event for Ohio Senior Games will be in conjunction with the Ohio Archers Association 900 Round event on August 20, 2022 in Sugarcreek.
  • Athletes should be on site one hour prior to the start of competition.
  • There is a mandatory shooter’s meeting at 9:30 a.m.
  • The event will begin at 10:00 a.m.
  • Water and food will be available for purchase.
  • YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE COMPETITION HERE by JULY 30, 2023
  • The registration fee is $35 payable to OAA at the time of registration.
  • During the registration process, you will read and acknowledge the OSO waiver.
  • To be considered for Ohio Senior Olympics medals and to qualify for the 2025 National Senior Games, athletes must register by July 30, 2023. You will be able to register for the OAA 900 Round after this date, but you will not be eligible for the Ohio Senior Olympics State Games competition.
  • Ohio Senior Olympics does not allow on-site registration for any event.
  • There will be five styles:
    • Recurve – with sights
    • Barebow Recurve – no sights
    • Compound Fingers – with sights
    • Barebow Compound – no sights
    • Compound Release (Freestyle)
  • Athletes will compete in five-year age brackets beginning with 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+.

Medal Ceremony

  • The medal ceremony will take place after the completion of the tournament.
  • Athletes must be present to receive medals. They will not be mailed.

Qualifying for National Senior Games

  • All first-, second-, third- and fourth-place winners or athletes meeting this sport’s NSGA – 900 round minimum performance standards in competition at a 2024 NSGA qualifying games will qualify for the 2025  National Senior Games.
  • An archer may enter only the style in which he/she has qualified.

  • 2023 Minimum Performance Standards (MPS) are based on results from the previous National Senior Games.

General Athlete Information

  • All details and events are subject to change based on registration numbers, weather conditions, venue availability, and other reasons.
  • Withdrawals and no shows will negatively impact brackets and heats.
  • Absolutely no day-of registration is permissible.
  • ALL athletes competing in the Ohio Senior Olympics (OSO) are expected to read and comply with the:
    • Athlete Code of Conduct
    • State Competition Protest Policy
    • General Rules for the State Games
  • All rules, policies, and the code of conduct can be found on the OSO website: Ohio Senior Olympics Rules and Policies
  • Athletes should know and understand the rules specific to their sport. The OSO uses the rules book created by the National Senior Games Association for those sports that are offered at the National Senior Games. Rules for those events not offered at the National Senior Games are those of the official organizing body.

OSO Liability Waiver

In consideration for accepting my entry I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims against Ohio Senior Olympics, the City of Westerville Parks and Recreation, venue providers, sponsors, and volunteers and their representatives, successors, and assigns for any and all injuries suffered by myself or any activity sponsored by these groups or individuals.

I give my permission for the free use of my name, likeness, voice, and/or photograph in any broadcast, telecast, newsprint, web site, marketing material or any other account of these events.
I further attest that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the events in which I will participate.

For the consideration stated above, I will personally indemnify and hold harmless the Ohio Senior Olympics and the City of Westerville Parks & Recreation Department, its venues and event hosts, and assigns for any and all loss and damage occasioned thereby: (archer to initial or electronically sign to verify)
